The Gender Responsive Policing (GRP) project in collaboration with National Police Bureau is organising a training programme for police officers commencing on tomorrow (Monday) at National Police Academy, Islamabad.
Mid-career police officers and those performing their duties as trainers have been selected from across the country for this programme.
This training is expected to help the police officers in dealing with women victims with sensitivity and respect, which would help in reducing gender, based violence in the country.

The law enforcement training academy is no laughing matter especially the first couple weeks, where instructors will try to break you mentally. Applications are being accepted for the 12th annual Citizens Police Academy, which begins March 17 and continues to May 5.
Applications can be picked up at the front desk at the police station, 344 Elgin St., and are also available at the police service’s website at www.police.brantford.on.ca
The academy is an opportunity to learn more about policing. Topics covered include forensic identification, major crime investigation, Internet predators and how to protect your children, use of force as well as accident investigation and reconstruction.
