Nearly five dozen new state troopers graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy on Thursday in a ceremony held at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Six of the new officers will be added to Troop C in Tolland.
The 58 members of the 121st Training Troop entered the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts to the sights and sounds of bagpipes and drums, while hundreds of friends and family members looked on.

Following eighteen weeks of intensive training, the Oakland Police Academy graduates its ninety-ninth Basic Police Training class of 16 trainees on Friday, December 10. The academy is located on Oakland Community’s Auburn Hills Campus.
Commencement ceremonies begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Jones-Johnson Theatre at Oakland Community College’s Royal Oak Campus. The principal speaker will be retired Wolverine Lake Police Department Chief Joseph George.

The Ocean City Police Department has recently graduated the 27th Class of the Citizens Police Academy. On November 2, 2010, 23 civilians received their graduation certificate after completing the 10- week course.
During this course, students meet a variety of officers to learn about
criminal law, traffic enforcement, evidence collection, firearms, arrest procedures, narcotics enforcement and many other topics. Students also participate in practical scenarios, which afford citizens hands-on opportunity to understand various law enforcement applications.

Graduation Ceremonies for the 69th Session of the Corpus Christi Police Department Police Academy will be held on Friday, November 5th at the Selena Auditorium, 1901 Shoreline Drive, Corpus Christi, TX.
The ceremony will commence at 2:00 PM, with the Honorable Judge Jose Longoria administering the Oath of Office to the fifteen graduating cadets.
Four of the cadets will be recognized for Academic, Physical, Shooting, and Driving Achievements.

The Lackawanna College Police Academy will graduate 14 cadets tonight at its 190th commencement ceremony, set for 6 p.m. at the Mellow Theater.

Monday night, a dozen men and women officially became Albany Police officers.
The department held a swearing in ceremony for recent Police Academy Graduates. They had to endure 10 weeks of physical training, weapons training, defense tactics, and studying for tests.
City leaders joined friends and relatives of the new officers as Chief John Proctor presented each graduate with an official badge.

Sixty-four new officers have joined the Prince George’s County police force.
The new police officers, along with three officers who are joining the Baltimore City Schools Police, graduated this month from the police academy.
The academy takes about six to seven months to complete, Cpl. Henry Tippett, a police spokesman, said.
At the graduation ceremony, Prince George’s County Police Chief Roberto Hylton told the recruits to perform their work with “professionalism, compassion and enthusiasm” and to listen to members of the community.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department is getting ready to graduate members of its citizen’s police academy.
The group is the first in a few years to participate in the program and they’ve gotten a good taste of what it’s like to be an officer.
“I enjoyed firing the pistol,” said Larry Crane, one member of the class.
Malinda Bell, came to the workshops because of a friend’s encouragement and she too has enjoyed every moment. “It’s very hard, it’s a hard job,” Bell said of the work police officers do.

P.E.I.’s Atlantic Police Academy held its Police Science Cadet Graduation 2011 recently at the Harbourfront Jubilee Theatre.
About 80 cadets made the transition to constable after 35 intense weeks of training at Slemon Park.
Twenty-one-year-old Stephanie Gallant of Spring Valley was one of five Islanders who graduated.
“It feels really good to be done but I am really going to miss everyone,” said Gallant as she anxiously waited her turn to graduate. “It was an awesome program.”

Another 23 police graduated from the Victoria Police Academy today and will take to the beat across the state in coming weeks, Parliamentary Secretary for Police and Emergency Services Danielle Green said.
Ms Green said more than 5800 recruits had passed through the academy since 1999, significantly strengthening Victoria Police’s frontline.
