Beginning Feb. 16, the Clovis Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies will be hosting a 12-week Citizen’s Police Academy.
It is open to the public and designed to acquaint citizens with police duties and offer an inside look into the profession.
Classes will include criminal law, investigations, traffic law and crash investigations, drug interdiction and domestic violence.
Students will also get hands on experience in crime scene investigation, firearms, driving and more.

Did you want to try your hand at police work? If you live in Clovis now is your chance. The 11th meeting of the Citizens Police Academy is scheduled to begin in February. The academy aims to give people a better understanding of the formation and responsibilities of the officers face.
