I’m trying to find a source of information on where i can go to apply for police academy. Currently I reside in Denver, but if you could provide me the online site I can go to; if possible, would be very nice. I plan on moving back next month, but is there a way for me to apply & where? Have a good day!:)

The Academy courses provide college credits. How do I find out how many. I retired after 20 yrs of service and now am enrolled in school to get a degree. It would be helpfull to know if I could shorten the time it take to finish.

To Richard….in Illinois you must be hired by the agency BEFORE you can attend the academy. And, right now, hiring is way down to the economy.

To Christopher…each college in Illinois provides varying college credit for academy or speciality training…usually lower level 100 credits in criminal justice, social justice, or law enforcement depending on the school. You need to go to an academic advisor and talk to them about credits.
